Initial Comprehensive Exam
At your initial appointment, you'll meet your dentist and hygienist, discuss with them your past dental and medical history, and go over any concerns you may have about your dental health or treatment. We then will take x-rays that are appropriate for you, which may range anywhere from four basic bitewing x-rays to a full mouth series or even a panoramic x-ray. Your hygienist will then clean your teeth and provide oral hygiene instructions which will enhance your ability to control plaque and maintain your dental health between your 6-month visits. Your initial visit concludes after the dentist completes a comprehensive exam, oral cancer screening, and x-ray review. Your dentist will discuss what treatment you may need, possible options of treatment, and can give you an estimate of cost.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin, highly durable facings that are permanently bonded to your teeth and enhance the overall appearance of your smile. Porcelain is a time-tested, proven dental material that provides outstanding wear resistance, biological compatibility and aesthetics. Porcelain veneers are fabricated by a dental laboratory and require two appointments.
Crown and Bridge Restorations
Crowns (or caps) are dental restorations that are placed over a tooth when conservative restorations are insufficient to restore form and function. A bridge serves to replace a missing tooth or teeth. One common type of bridge consists of crowns placed on either side of the missing tooth to connect the replacement tooth or teeth to them. Crowns and bridges can be made entirely of tooth-colored material, metal, or a combination to provide optimal strength and aesthetics.
Dental Implants
Dental implants enable dentists to create healthy, attractive smiles in an innovative way. Used to replace one or more missing teeth, implants are another alternative to conventional bridges and dentures. A dental implant restoration consists of a biocompatible titanium screw and post topped by a crown, bridge, or denture. In essence, dental implants help maintain bone mass and act and look like natural teeth. The implant is surgically placed into the jawbone where it replaces the natural tooth root. In a few months, the implant securely attaches to the bone allowing it to withstand biting and chewing forces just like a healthy, natural tooth.
Intraoral Camera
We use a high-tech pen-size camera that displays photos of the inside of your mouth onto a TV screen. This specialized camera can freeze frame images which can also be printed. This enables us to show you any problem areas we may encounter. Tooth Whitening
If you've always dreamed of having a whiter, healthier looking smile, tooth whitening is the fastest, safest, and easiest treatment option available in cosmetic dentistry. In two quick and simple appointments we will deliver to you special trays that custom fit your teeth. Then a whitening gel is placed in the trays and worn during the day or overnight depending on the treatment option you choose. Maximum whitening can be achieved in only 10-14 days, and results may be seen after just the first application!
Fluoride Treatment
An important component of a successful oral hygiene program is preventive interventions. That's why for some patients fluoride therapy can be one of the most cost effective ways to avoid the onset of decay, help to stop newly forming cavities, treat sensitive teeth, and work as an effective adjunct in the treatment of periodontal conditions.
Bonding and Tooth Colored (White) Fillings
Bonding involves the direct application of tooth-colored composite resin and is typically used to create a more attractive smile. Tooth colored fillings are an alternative to traditional metal fillings and fall into two categories direct and indirect. Direct restorations are composite resin applied in one appointment. Indirect restorations (inlays or onlays), are made of porcelain or composite resin materials fabricated by a dental laboratory. These restorations usually take two appointments.
